Cevin is from Michigan, and he has lived in the Ann Arbor area since coming to study at the University of Michigan in 1984.  After graduating from law school in 2003, he worked in the Research Division of the Michigan Court of Appeals in Detroit before joining the law firm of Magill & Rumsey, P.C., where he still practices as an of counsel attorney.  Since 2004 he has specialized in the law regarding nonprofit and tax-exempt organizationstax exemption reinstatement, and related matters.  Mr. Taylor has served on the boards of charities, and has helped hundreds of nonprofit organizations in all phases of their life cycles – from formation through dissolution and winding up their affairs.  In addition, he is one of the country’s most experienced attorneys with regards to assisting organizations get their tax-exempt status reinstated with the IRS after losing it.  In early 2015, he launched Taylor Legal, P.C. in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Cevin Taylor is a member of the Nonprofit Corporations Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan.  He belongs to the Christian Legal Society, and he can speak, read, and write Spanish fluently.
